Alamo Dam sill replacement

Los Angeles District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Published July 21, 2020

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will make lower-than-normal releases from Alamo Dam to facilitate contract divers as they begin repair work on the sill of the outlet works July 23.

During periods when divers are in the water we will cease making riparian releases and discharge will approach zero cubic feet per second.

The work will be performed at night seven days a week until completion ... scheduled for mid-August.

We expect limited opportunities to resume riparian releases of 25 cfs for short periods but we cannot forecast when those periods will occur.  Decisions are based on our target operating elevation of 1125 feet.
